Trivia Titans 4

Q.1: In March 2021, when the Bert/Ernie debate was raging, a twitter user pointed out that X & Y were right there, throwing shade from a box seat at the theatre.

In fact, he wrote a fanfiction account of their backstory which made Twitter users quite emotional.

But is it fanfiction? As per the Muppets Wiki, Z is Y’s appropriately-named wife, but she has made only one appearance on the show. Moreover, it’s quite apparent that she is simply X in a dress!

Identify X, Y, and Z

Q.2: An effect of popular media is that it creates a common perception of history that might/not be entirely true. For example, we have a perception that Victorian-era London did not have any colored residents, but it was common for sailors to pick up crew from South Asia and bring them back to England.

Similarly, in the 12th Century, girls born on the Feast of Epiphany were given the name X. The name has seen a resurgence in modern times, so whenever we come across it in media which is set in medieval times, we perceive it as an influence of the earlier name

Name the effect.

Q.3 : Almost exactly two years ago, X put up a post through their Instagram account explaining some theories about their name:

1. X is the French word for “roof” and a reference to X’s unusual architecture

3. X was inspired by a dialogue from Goldmember: “Dr. Evil, we still have the ultimate insurance policy. May I present to you, the very sexual, the very _____, Austin Power’s fahza.

Q.5: Born in 1799, this lady ran a fossil stand on England’s Dorset Beach, also known as the Jurassic Coast. With which witty words would we describe her work?

Q.6: PK Sobti, was a four-time Asian Games gold medalist and Commonwealth Games silver medalist. After his successful career in sports, his mythical hulking stature made him the perfect fit for the role of X.

What "epic"role did he play?

Q.7: Over the course of the pandemic, several new “diseases” have been reported. One such problem is the X pinky, in which people claim that there is a change in the position of their little finger, or that they have developed a dent in their little finger, on the middle bone.

There hasn’t yet been any research looking into the X pinky,so it’s prevalence, causes, and treatment are unclear. However, the dent is likely a compression of the soft tissues from continued exposure to Xs, which is how it gets its name.

Identify the cause of X pinky (or simply, just identify X)

Q.1 :  What subculture’s origin is explained below: In the 1970s, Japan introduced mechanical pencils which provided fine handwriting.
